We are very pleased to confirm that scenes for the second instalment of J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be filmed in the Founder’s Dining Hall and corridors. The filming will commence in the summer months this year, so look out for familiar faces on campus, amongst some magical creatures too…
This is particularly exciting news for our students, as auditions for extra roles have been opened up to you muggles, which will be conducted in May.
It is still unclear as to what scenes the Founder’s Dining Hall and corridors will be used for, but rumours have surfaced suggesting it may host Redmayne’s Magizoologist studies.
The first film, which will be released firstly in the USA in November 2016, follows Magizoologist Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, as he navigates 1926 New York during what was meant to be a short visit. Of course, adventure ensues when Newt encounters a No-Maj—American Muggle—named Jacob and some of Newt’s fantastic beasts go missing from his misplaced magical case.

Please note that there may be building and car park closures at this time, and that this is certainly an April Fool’s Joke, sorry to disappoint!
